A. Yes. It is our hopes that the messages and excitement can be shared with all who can benefit from Lyndale's presence.
Q. Why Lyndale the Literary Lion?
A. Lyndale the Literary Lion was created to convey literacy skills because according to the 2005 National Center for Education Statistics report, "Two-thirds of students who don't learn to read proficiently by the end of the 4th grade will end up in jail or on welfare." According to Childrens Defense Fund Cradle to Prison Campaign "Studies have shown that children who do not get the early intervention,
permanence and stability they need are more likely to act out and fail in school because they lack the skills necessary
to succeed." So, this is JammerTime's way of trying to break the cycle and beat the odds. More importantly, Lyndale helps to break down the barriers children erect when adults are trying to teach. First the children laugh, then they learn that books and reading isn't so bad.
Q. How much are your programs?
A. The program itself I believe is invaluable but because gas, food and sometimes lodging is needed, the program starts at $250.00. Mileage and other cost are added if the venue is more than 30 miles travel. Contact me for exact price or if more information is needed.
Q. Is any special equipment or setup requirements needed for a program?
A. No. All Lyndale needs is a stage or nice size area and a excited audience. A bottle or two of water would also help.
